Who and where

Welcome+to+Wakefield

I am in easy reach of most of Wakefield District (particularly Netherton, Horbury, Ossett and Wakefield areas), Dewsbury, Mirfield, Emley Moor and surrounding areas. Check NEW LOCATIONS page for my availability in North Yorkshire.

Test centres covered‎

Wakefield, Heckmondwike, Barnsley, Pontefract and Huddersfield. I also know Harrogate, Knaresborough and Northallerton very well and do tests there on a regular basis when required.

Regular Lessons

Driving lessons do not need to be limited to one hour per week or two hours as insisted on by so many driving schools. Two hours can be a long time to retain concentration for some, where as one and a half hours is just right. Two shorter lessons suit some people. What is best for you? Often the answers come from a bit of discussion and my observations on a lesson.

Intensive

Intensive courses are available with a realistic timetable worked out for you. Your experience and current ability can be taken into consideration to give you a structured lead up to a test date.

Pass Plus

Pass Plus is a training course specifically aimed at new drivers, designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry. Pass Plus builds upon your existing skills and knowledge, it teaches you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, and can help you to become more confident on the roads. Pass Plus is made up of six practical modules which include: town driving, all weather driving, rural driving, night driving, dual carriageway and motorway driving.

Motorway and Refresher lessons

Driver training is not just for 17 year olds getting on the road for the first time! People have refresher lessons for many reasons, examples I have had include someone losing confidence after a bump or a lady who was given a company car after not driving for 20 years.
